A big Hello to all our Friends and Enemies.
It has been almost half a year since we last updated this site, and perhaps a year and a half since our last climb on the stage. Ever since, we have met many times all of you wonderful people on the road, asking about the band, our future live shows and new songs. For that reason, Mr. Lovecraft’s verse is our way of saying that this band is by all means Alive. Yet, first things first, and we must put all News in line.
Initially, Jim Amvrazis is no longer the drummer of Rafferty Rules, since his heavy working schedule does not permit him to follow the band’s obligations. However, we wish to thank him for his short but descent stay in the band. Yet, rehearsals continue intensively with a New drummer, whose identity will be revealed shortly in our Official Website. For now, the good news is that four new songs are already on the way, while our old stuff sounds more powerful than ever. Patience is a virtue, and it won’t be long before Rafferty Rules announces its new live dates, so stay close.

During this one and a half year, Rafferty members have been more than active in music. Guitarist Jim and Drummer Jim Amvrazis (ex-Rafferty Rules), along with other musicians, have formed a Fusion/Funk/Jazz band called Praxis. You may visit MySpace.com/praxisgr and check out their Debut work called “Introduction”. Singer Jon has obtained his MSc in International Relations, while at the same time he has become the manager of Praxis. Also, along with fellow-Rafferty members (who appear under the name of Total Trip) they have recorded a Full-CD with Greek Rock songs. Singer Chris has been expanding his Web-Designing activities, collaborating with many Greek Underground bands, while Bassist Thanasis...well, then it wouldn’t be a surprise, would it?

Once again, Rafferty Rules wishes to thank all those people who continuously support them throughout those long years. But as John Lennon once said “Life, is what happens to you when you are busy making other plans”. Truly, it may have taken us some time, but have no doubt that the Truck is back on Track. We cannot wait for the time to hit the road again....

P.S. We owe a huge “Thank You” to the people of Larissa, whose support we never forget, and to the guys from Stampin’ Ground, who still remember. Farewell brothers, yours has been a long journey. Thanx for making us part of the ride!!!

On the other hand, we are happy to announce that the new drummer has been found in the face of Jim Amvrazis. Jim is a great musician and an incredible drummer, which makes us even happier to welcome him in the Rafferty Family.

In the meantime, Rafferty Rules is more than proud to confirm that the long-awaited video clip for “Crushing Down” is finally ready. This is the second video clip for Rafferty Rules and it was directed by Marios once again. Strangely, Marios is always in the spirit of what we are looking for, catching the moment at its rawest form and bringing it to life.

Soon, there will be more news about the band’s new recording sessions, future live appearances and hopefully a few surprises, so stay close…

The live on the 8th of May already belongs to the past.
It was a really special event for us, as we had not
appeared on stage for the last two years.
The turn-out at the live was quite satisfactory while
the most hot-blooded guys gave the best out of them.

We would like to thank all the bands who played with us,
the Underworld club, the people who invited us and above all,
all of you for being there.
It means a lot to us.

We have this thing we want to announce, but words don't come easy to describe what the heart wants to say.
Well, this is it, Thanos is back. Nothing really to explain, especially when some things are that much personal,
but lets just say what we always believed
from the beginning, that this band
will always be what we five want it to be.
Without Thanos this could not be possible, because it wouldn't be Rafferty Rules without him. And this goes for every single one of us. We are what we are and we do what we do, the way
we want it, and that makes it what Rafferty Rules
is all about more or less.

Anyway, there have been certain reactions or whatever
you can call it, where some people thought that this was a
good chance to let out all their syndromes and bad
thoughts about us. The truth is that we have to thank them
even for that, because it gives us a good opportunity
to say a few words on all this shit that we know is going
on around us, even if we never really bother to waste our time speaking about it. It appears that we haven't
made ourselves clear yet. R.R. is 9 whole years out
there, we have broken our backs to make it work, it has
become a vital part of us and noone is allowed to touch this.
We might not be able to know all our friends, and
these are the people who listen to our music and come to our shows and support us in ways that we might never
find out, but be sure that we know all our enemies
one by one, just in case that anyone thinks that he is so smart
to getaway with it. It would be better if you had some energy, to put it in helping the music and stop plotting
behind other people's backs, just to feel that you are doing something special. You only make a fool out of
yourselves. Get a life...

To end up, we want to thank Apostolis so much for helping us and especially for his understanding. It really meant
a lot to us. Anyway, we are happy more than words can say that Thanos is back again and we have to promise that
the best is yet to come. See you guys on the road!!!

Happy new year! Rafferty Rules are still in the studio
and writing new material with their new drummer Apostolis.

DIME is dead!
Unfortunately the biggest influence and one of the greatest inspirations of our band is dead.
Dimebag was the M.V.P. of the 90s and some m*********er out of nowhere took his life.
He’ll stay in our hearts for ever! R.I.P.

We are sorry to announce that our drummer Thanos is no longer a member of the band due to personal reasons.
We will never forget his contribution to our music and we wish him the best.
Rafferty Rules are already working on new material with a new drummer and soon will be back on the road again.
